HOW DO YOU RELATE TO THE CONCEPT OF FASHION AS ART?

FASHION IS ART, AND ART IS FASHION. WHAT’S INCREDIBLE ABOUT FASHION IS HOW DESIGNERS CAN DRAW INSPIRATION FROM ANYTHING AND TRANSFORM THEIR VISIONS INTO CLOTHING AND TEXTILES. FROM NATURE TO ARCHITECTURE, OR EVEN SOMETHING AS SIMPLE AS A FEELING, FASHION IS ALL ABOUT EXPRESSION. AS A MODEL, I LOVE BRINGING A DESIGNER’S VISION TO LIFE.

What fashion eras or designers shape your aesthetic?

There are so many designers that I look to for my everyday aesthetic. The best thing about fashion is that we can change our look day to day, turning into whatever we choose based on how we feel. Some of my go-to’s are Balenciaga for the rugged streetwear vibe and classic elegance like Ferragamo.

How would you describe your personal visual code?

The best way to describe my visual code is chameleon - I’m constantly evolving, adapting, and integrating new visual elements into my everyday life.

How do you interact with trends: follow, transform or avoid?

Well, as models, it's our responsibility to sell the trends, sell the vision, and sell the garments. So, in reality, I’d say I’m a leader of trends, no?

The fashion industry, overall, is the definition of FOMO. We constantly crave what others have - what seems, in a sense, unattainable. The key is to stay true

What unusual shoot concepts have you particularly remembered?

xI’m still mesmerized by the recent Jacquemus shoot featuring a model covered in unconventional items like vegetables, blending those ideas with tech and robotics!

Why do you think it is so important to know the industry from the inside, rather than just being the face of a brand?

As someone who takes my career very seriously, it’s not just important to me - it’s my passion to understand all aspects of the fashion industry. I love staying up to date with beauty trends, street style, music, and pop culture, as they all play a role in shaping the industry.

Recommend your followers some movies that inspire you?

I’m captivated by so many, but some standouts are Happy Together by Wong Kar-wai, Climax by Gaspar Noé, Poor Things by Yorgos Lanthimos, Possession by Andrzej Żuławski, The Grand Budapest Hotel by Wes Anderson, and To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar by Beeban Kidron.

How do you prepare for shoots and shows to best fit the aesthetic of a brand or industry?

Sleep and staying healthy are key! Also, researching the client, the team (including the photographer), and reviewing past references from the specific brand really help me ensure I deliver my best on set or on a job.

Which legend would you like to do a shoot with?

The fashion industry is filled with legends who represent a vast spectrum of beauty. Some of my dream collaborations would be with Leon Dame, Alex Consani, Alton Mason, Anok Yai, and Shalom Harlow.

Inspiration or discipline?

I would say I live life surrounded by inspiration. While discipline is important, life is too precious not to follow your heart.

Classic or experimental?

Both , because why limit to just one right?
