How would you describe your personal visual code?

I like to say "i look kinda angelic" or maybe like a black angel when i choose total black outfits for the day - just a little joke.

What fashion eras or designers shape your aesthetic?

I'm drawn to the era of oversized clothing and streetwear, along with the mixing of styles and experimentation with shapes, silhouettes, volumes, fabrics and pinch of classic, of course the fusion of streetwear and high fashion definitely influences my aesthetic and I love following the evolution of this trend.

How do you relate to the concept of fashion as art?

I absolutely believe that fashion is an art. Designers are incredibly creative, using a unique blend of shapes, silhouettes, and fabrics to express their individual visions. The result is often breathtaking – it's about more than just clothing, it's about creating something truly beautiful.

What magazines, books or other resources do you read for inspiration?

AnOther magazine, Paper magazine, Highsnobiety, i-D, Vogue - just scroll through them and you will immediately understand why they are so inspiring and my fav!

How do you interact with trends: follow, transform or avoid?

I rather transform and adapt them to suit myself. I take certain elements and create smth.. smth close to me. Think it could be called a collaboration with my own ideas.

Why do you think it is so important to know the industry from the inside, rather than just being the face of a brand?

The fashion industry is not only about external style, but also creativity, cultural and social movements that shape it. Understanding these processes and being involved in them allows you to do more than just be the face of a brand - it enables you to bring something personal and unique.

Classic or experimental?

For me, they are inseparable: classic is the foundation, but experimentation adds individuality and character, it's important to balance and find harmony between them.

Inspiration or discipline?

Inspiration fills you with energy and ideas, while discipline is like a continuation that helps bring them to life.

Your tattoos feel very expressive. Could you share the story behind some of them?

I know it sounds crazy but I actually like the feeling of getting tattooed. I don’t really feel pain or maybe it even feels kinda nice. But then I remembered my knee tattoo and yeah... it’s definitely one of the more painful spots. Not gonna lie, the first time I really did feel awful in that moment. But a slice of pizza and a Coke fixed everything.

Are they spontaneous choices or do you plan each one carefully?

My master's tattoo sketches are all unique. When I saw one or another, I didn’t choose spontaneously or even carefully. I just felt it. An inner voice always told me, "This one, Nikusha, is yours."

Is there one tattoo that holds a special or personal meaning for you?

Each of my tattoos means something special and personal to me, even if they don’t have a very specific meaning. All of them were done with a machine by two different artists, except for one. This one is on my foot. It was done by my friend, who isn’t even a tattoo artist. She did it at my place, right on my bed, and by handpoke. Is it special? I think so.
