My visual code is a mix of street style and elegance. I like to balance confident well-fitted pieces with more relaxed and urban elements. One day I will wear nice knitwear with a jacket and the next I might be in wide pants a hoodie and sneakers. I enjoy mixing street style and casual because it reflects both sides of me the ambitious confident side and the one that enjoys the moment. It is not just about looking good it is about feeling like myself in any setting.
Which designers or brands shape your aesthetic?
My aesthetic is shaped by a mix of elegance and street style. On the street-style side I keep it relaxed with Carhartt Stussy Salomon Y-Project and of course Y-3 blending functionality with a fashion edge. For elegance I incorporate luxury brands like Saint Laurent Prada Bottega Veneta and Loewe. This mix allows me to switch moods and stay true to both comfort and precision.
How do you relate to the concept of fashion as art? For me fashion is everyday art. It is how I show who I am without saying anything. I see it as expression with attitude. Even a hoodie and sneakers can say a lot if you wear them right.
Streetwear just fits me literally and mentally. I grew up with it so when I shoot in those looks it never feels forced. It is like bringing my everyday self on set. Maybe that is why it works. Or maybe it is just the magic of baggy silhouettes and good sneakers doing half the job.
Do you ever catch yourself turning a regular walk down the street into a full campaign moment without even trying?
All the time. I step out for groceries and suddenly I am giving runway energy between the fruit stands. If the lighting is right and the hoodie fits good that street becomes my set.
What role do music and street fashion play in your daily life and style? Music is a big part of my day. It sets the mood and brings energy and color into whatever I’m doing. Whether it’s hip-hop rap electronic techno instrumental or alternative each genre inspires my style mindset and how I move through the day.
It is hard to name just one I have been lucky to take part in many great shoots. But if I had to highlight one I would talk about the DSQUARED2 campaign. It was an incredible experience. We had four full days two for fittings and two for shooting and everything was done at the highest level.
The team was super professional and Dean and Dan were really friendly and open with us. The atmosphere was relaxed but still focused which made the whole process even better. I loved everything, the process, the styling, the energy on set. The final images turned out amazing and the video really captured the whole vibe of the shoot. You can actually find it on my Instagram and if you do feel free to leave a comment no pressure haha.
If you could take part in a shoot with an iconic photographer, who would it be?
If I could choose I would love to shoot with Mario Sorrenti. Bruce Weber too if he were still alive. And Patrick Demarchelier would definitely be on my list. They all have that timeless eye and unique way of capturing presence. It would be an honor to be part of their vision.
How do you prepare for shoots and shows to best fit the aesthetic of a brand or industry?
I don’t change my self to particular brand, I have my own style, and I feel like the brand which like my style and attitude, will come along. And of course by that time staying fit, well looking and confident is a strict rule.
That is an interesting question. After a few years in modeling it really shaped how I carry myself and how I understand presence. But if I had to choose something else it would definitely be something connected to people creativity and business.
I have always felt strong in soft skills I connect with people easily I adapt quickly and I learn fast. I have been studying marketing and sales for the past year and I love how those fields combine creativity with human psychology.
So my answer is business. I like the challenge the independence and the range of possibilities. I have tried a few things in the past some worked some failed but that is part of the process. Right now I am working on a project and we will see where it leads. High risk high reward. That is what makes it exciting.
What quality do you consider your superpower?
My superpower is taking action despite uncertainty and being able to learn any information quickly.
I’d love to shoot with Jim Carrey, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant (if he were alive), N.W.A, and Andre 3000. They’re all from different worlds, but they’ve all shaped who I am in some way. From some I admired their acting, ambition, how they chase their dreams, how they express themselves, or just their music. I’d love to get a professional shot with them it would be amazing.
Recommend your readers some movies that inspire you?
The Pursuit of Happyness Straight Outta Compton The Founder and Fantastic Mr Fox are all on my list for different reasons. I also really liked The Last Dance Common Side Effects and Angel A. Some of them motivate me some make me think and some just have a unique energy or message that sticks. I like films that stay with you long after they end.
